Lauren Conrad's ombré nails

After the hair it's time to ombre our nails just like the lovely Lauren Conrad :)

I love the fan of colours she used on this recent picture and how fun it is to pair this with a fancy outfit for an event.

By the way, how pretty does she look?  Effortlessly beautiful as always :)

I ventured to try my own ombré nails, not as pretty as the one Lauren is rocking but I still think it looks pretty cool although I didn't have enough blue toned colours to do is exactly as I wanted which means I'm gonna have to buy more blue nail polish. *Evil shopping face*

Mavala nail care ♥

I hope it is no longer a secret for each and everyone of you that if you want your varnish to last and to shine you must use a topcoat. A topcoat is what salt is to the sea. You want an optimal result and an impeccable long lasting manicure, well then you're gonna need a very good topcoat.I've had many comments about which top coat do I use to get such a shiny result so tataaaam this is it :) I've been trying loads and loads of topcoats over the past few years and I have never been as satisfied that with my Mavala's.They have a whole range of nail care product that is absolutely amazing and works ! I've never been disappointed and I always come back to them when I try some other brands. I don't have A must have all time favourite product but I do have my favourites.

At the moment my combo is the Mavala 002 base coat and the Mavadry as a topcoat.

Mavadry : As you can read on the bottle, it is a manicure time-saver and it help your nail polish to dry faster without sticking it to it. After applying your last coat of varnish you can directly apply the mavadry. It's magic! I love this product, it gives an incomparable shine finish to my varnish.

Mavala 002 : not only  this little gem prevents your nails from getting yellow from the pigmentation of the nail polish but also creates a "sticky" base and helps your varnish last longer.  This product is my varnish savior, I swear by this!

As a combo, they give me the perfect manicure. My nail polish is shiny and doesn't chip all day long (which usually happen ALL the time to me on the first day) . I don't like to keep my varnish on more than a day because I always feel like after a day it looks lifeless and messy but with these two babies I can stay two days maybe three days without having to worry :)

I definitely recommand this brand to you as they have a solution to pretty much every nail issues you can possibly have. From their range I also looooove the topcoat TOP FIX, which I use to bring back to life a manicure that have suffered from a late night varnish application = sheets lines all over my nails.
The price is reasonnable, they were over 9 euros each at Ici Paris Xl (for the belgian reading this) and the quality really is one of the best out there.

What is your holy grail topcoat ?

Islas Canarias

I finally got some of the pictures from my trip to las islas canarias!
Overall it was a very sunny and enjoyable destination as the hotel was amazing but I absolutely loathed the city itself. Such an acculturated village with nothing related to the spanish culture which was so disappointing. Hopefully with my rusty spanish we managed to find a local spanish restaurant where the spanish working there were eating and we went there every.single.day.
I didn't come so far in the pacific ocean to eat "homemade british food". No offense!

Anyways, this is a little peek at my vacays :) Enjoy

♥ The Naked Palette is MINE ♥

SOY DE VUELTA :)
I'm back! Can't believe it's already over, it went by soooo incredibly fast.
My friend has all the pictures from our trip to canaries islands so until then I wanted to show you what I've brought back from vacays.
YES THAT'S RIGHT. Finally. After months lusting after this glorious and oh so loved palette, I got it!
Never in a million years I would thought that I could buy some Urban Decay on planes going to tenerife, but hey, I'm not going to complain :-)

As you can see I was reading some very intellectual newspaper in the plane about some good old TOWIE drama between Mark and Lauren.

I'm so keen that this little gem is finally mine. After all the positive reviews I've read , I knew my make up life will never be complete without it. The crew plane probably thought I was totally insane as I went a tad hectic when I got it in my hands for the first time.

I'll spare you the swatches I'm sure you have seen them more than a billion times.

Let's just say it was the icing on the cake to my vacays. I can't wait to share some pics and tell you all about my trip there.

Hello to all my new readers and to everyone, I hope you're all well :-)
Besitos, Marilou
